Wouter Rome is a consultant in Accenture Information Management Services' Portal & Content Management practice at their Brussels office. Wouter has extensive experience in document and workflow management systems like FileNet, Documentum and Sharepoint. Accenture Information Mangement Solution for Public Service, Accenture (May 2008 - Sept. 2009)
The Accenture Information Management Solution for Public Service is an offering consisting of a preconfigured live demo that can be quickly adapted to client needs togheter with sales collateral. It is used to to demonstrate the breadth and depth of Accenture capabilities related to Document and Information Management.
Wouter was responsible for the implementation of the entire demo. He established himself as the solution architect of the project and was responsible for all the functional and technical requirements. He managed the planning and coordinated all the build activities of the different team members.

ICI Management Reports, Dutch Government Agency (Nov. 2007 - Feb. 2008)
Wouter's role as FileNet Technical expert included the following responsibilities:
  • Correcting Technical Issues with the management reports
  • Raising on a timely manner any concerns with the implementation
  • Coordinating activities that require involvement from other persons, such as the maintenance team

    Document Management Maintenance, Belgian Governement Agency (July 2007 - Aug. 2007 )
    Wouter worked independently on several maintenance scripts that were needed to keep data quality high. He organized meetings with the client to get a functional signoff, did the technical design and implementation.

    Internal Recruiting Project, Accenture (May 2007 - June 2007)
    This internal project focussed on streamlining the rectruiting process with respect to sourcing, forecasting and interview process. Wouter organized several meetings with key stakeholders and developped worktools to put a new recruitement process into place.

    Portal Data Entry, Belgian Governement Agency (Sept. 2006 - Feb. 2007)
    The Federal Agency for Medicinal and Health products processes the request to put Medicinal Products on the Belgian market. In a previous project a workflow system was set up to help this process. In the Portal Data Entry project a webapplication is created which permits the Medicinal Enterprises to enter data online. This eliminates a lot of work of data entry previously performed by civil servants. Wouter was responsible for the functional analysis and design. He also took part in the build of the application. He was responsible for the user interface design and implementation.

    Information and Communication Infrastructure Project, Dutch Governement Agency (Jan. 2006 - Sept. 2006)
    Following on from the successful implementation in Belgium, the FileNet project was taken to the Netherlands. Wouter's responsibilities were technical architecture, content management and eventscripting. He has taken control of the clone of the Belgian software. This implementation has to be updated to reflect the Dutch applications on an architecture level, but also the Dutch processes and will be extended to include other functionality including that of further FileNet plug-ins. He is highly involved in knowledge transfer to his Dutch counterparts.

    BPR Implementation, Belgian Governement Agency (June 2005 - Dec. 2005)
    This project comprised the technical implementation of a document and workflow management system (FileNet) as well as the data model for a large government agency. Wouter was responsible for FileNet migrations to production, Content Engine developments and changes, VBScripting code.
